The SSU Chorus (Music 325) is a large ensemble which performs a broad range of repertoire,
including major choral-orchestral pieces, a cappella music of all periods,
and special thematic projects. The group ranges in size from 75 to 100 singers.
Recent programs have included Vivaldi's Gloria, Ramirez' Navidad Nuestra,
Britten's Ceremony of Carols, and thematic shows including Celebrate
the Solstice! and Talk about Freedom.
The groups meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 12-12:50, in Ives 119 on the SSU campus. In the fall of 2006, the Chorus collaborated with the Santa Rosa Symphony and other area choral groups in a performance of Ralph Vaughan Williams' moving "Dona Nobis Pacem".
