Handel in Rome, Handel in London
Sonoma County Bach Choir
When he was 22, Handel spent several years in Rome, where he produced some of his most novel and exciting works of sacred music. Featured pieces will be the psalms Dixit Dominus and Laudate Pueri. In addition, the second half of the concert will feature two of the bloved Chandos anthems. The Sonoma Baroque Orchestra joins with the Sonoma County Bach Choir and a great lineup of soloists for this season-closer conducted by guest director Jenny Bent.
